Conference Details: While historians study the past, many historical actors had their eyes set on the future: what would life be like? What scientific and technological progress would the future hold? How would society be organized? What would modernity look like, and when and how would it come? Who, and what, would be modern? Who, and what would be left behind? The conference is open to all MA and PhD students, studying any topic, period, and place. New Frontiers is designed to be a supportive environment to gain conference experience, practice a paper ahead of a non-student conference, solicit feedback, share research from coursework/honours project/MRP/dissertation, and more! The committee and GHSA are working on organizing a keynote and closing pub night: more information on that to come.
