Conference Details: This year the History Department at Carleton University is hosting its 32nd annual Underhill Graduate Student Colloquium, one of the longest-running history graduate conferences in Canada. Our theme is Reimagining Community | Doing History Together and will take place in-person at Carleton University on February 26th and 27th, 2026. Further details regarding our keynote speakers will be announced shortly.
We are now accepting abstracts and hope that you could circulate this email to your graduate students with the attached Call for Papers. We encourage all graduate students to consider the conference theme and apply with a relevant proposal; students working in areas beyond the fields of History and Public History are also welcomed! The Call for Papers deadline is December 19th, 2025. Abstracts should be 250-300 words.
